Robinsons Supermarket’s celebrates #WellnessFestival

It is important to stay fit and healthy not just thin, said by Ms.Tweetie de Leon-Gonzales, Organique Acai brand endorser. She is one of those I look up to when it comes to having a healthy lifestyle. As they say, health is wealth. As a mom, I always hope for each day to be strong so I can be productive and can take care of my family.

July is National Wellness month and Robinsons Supermarket celebrates this with their month-long celebration called Wellness Festival. This annual event is also the third leg of its year-long Route to Wellness journey with Filipinos.

Last Friday, I attended the #WellnessFestival in Eastwood Central Plaza- Citywalk. The event was hosted by TV host, Robi Domingo. The park was transformed into a mini city where guests can try the Bicycle Tour or Pedestrian Rush, participants need to accomplish certain actions when crossing the street.

I first visited the Nestle booth. I played the Jenga game. You will pick a color and need to remove your chosen color from a constructed blocks. The challenge, prevent to break the blocks. It was fun game, my kids and I play this at home.

Second, I visited the Organique Acai booth. I've Been taking Organique Acai for about two months, and I feel stronger than before. Will tell you more about it next on the blog. At the Organique Acai booth,I tried to play a game where I need to hold and guide carefully the wire loop from one point going to the end point. The challenge is that you need to prevent the loop from touching the wire or else it will light up. I was'nt able to complete the game but it was fun and exciting one to try.

Next was at the Buddy Race. This was my favorite part of the activities at the #WellnessFestival. There was an indoor bike that was being set up with a TV in front of you. The challenge was to be able to finish a route in 2 minutes time. Together with my sister, we also need to stop in certain checkpoints or if not, an added 15 seconds will be added on your time. Such a time pressure game but biking is one of the good ways to improve your health and get fit.

Lastly was at the Pedestrian Rush. I was able to accomplished the hula hoop challenge for 30 seconds without the hula hoop falling. That was an easy one for me. Aside from these activities, customers also got a chance to try the course set up by the Ninja Academy. Admission to the activity is free and guests were treated to other fun activities by Robinsons Supermarket’s wellness partners.

Celebrity fitness coaches Jim and Toni Saret led guests and shoppers in a series of four-minute workouts, or Metabeats, in an effort to show that it only takes a few minutes to get started on one’s wellness journey.

The event also presented an opportunity for Robinsons Supermarket to pledge pounds to the Fit Filipino 1 Million Pounds National Weight Loss Challenge. As one of the official partners of the movements, Robinsons Supermarket identified select branches as the challenge’s weigh-in centers every Saturday.

Robinsons Supermarket will also hold its annual and much-anticipated 10th Fit & Fun Buddy Run on July 2 at Camp Aguinaldo. Customers will also get a chance to experience some of the activities as a special wellness caravan will also be held in Robinsons Supermarket Tagaytay from July 14 to 16, and at Robinsons Supermarket Antipolo City from July 28 to 30.
