Must-Read for Women who Love to Dress Up! Ikaw na ang Maganda Book 2: Dress up Pure and Lovely

Many women are drawn to the latest fashions found in the country’s upscale trendy shops, seeking to be just as beautiful as the models who wear them. How does one dress up to become lovely? Author Malu Tiongson-Ortiz has written the follow up to her best-selling Ikaw na ang Maganda: How to be Beautiful Inside and Out. This new book entitled Ikaw na ang Maganda Book 2: Dress up Pure and Lovely was released by OMF Literature, Inc. to help show women how to dress to look their best, and how to be beautiful beyond wearing fashionable clothes.

While the first book, Ikaw na ang Maganda: How to be Beautiful Inside and Out, takes inspiration from Malu’s experience as a make-up artist, Book 2 draws from Malu’s own sense of fashion coupled with her growing concern about the increasingly sexualized trends in women’s clothing. In the recent book launch happened last November 10 at Stacey's Home Cafe in BGC, Malu shared about the dangers of being a shopaholic, the motivations that drive women to dress expensively, and the effects of sexy dressing. She also included real-life stories of women like former beauty queen Miriam Quiambao–Roberto to show the longings in women’s hearts that manifest in shopping, fashion, and even darker pursuits. Over and above all these, Malu discussed how developing beauty of character as the sure-fire way of making oneself attractive.

The book also features fashion tips and techniques by personality development coach and ImageMaker Consultant Ginny Gonzales–Atacador on how to make oneself lovely for different occasions, even on a budget. Homeschooling advocate, blogger (Teach with Joy), and author Joy Tan-Chi–Mendoza also shares her insights on fitness and dressing as one who represents the Creator of all beauty: God.
